So we are into the 3rd year (I think) of SRA...who fancies being on the committee this year, you dont have to do much, most "activities" are sorted either virtually or at events when we have enuff "representation"... let me know groovers..
Also, for those of you who aren't members... both in this country and over the otherside of the pond.. (Tillerman?) would you be interested in joining...?
If theres sufficient interest for a world-wide virtual sailing association then I may consider opening things up...need to check the legalities with the RYA first... but let me know...

I see you have a constitution with 62 articles .... but what the hell does SSRA actual do?
Basically it was set up because although through 20-odd years of sailing I have always been a member of a sailing club, Draycote Water SC, Brookvale Park SC, Barnt Green SC etc I have recently (last 5 years) with the advent of a young family etc found that I was only ever doing events, never doing club racing and not adding value to my local club. So I though it would be cool, on the back of the blog to set-up a new racing association for those people that don't have time to join a club and also for those who just wanna be a member of something cool as well as their local club... does that help dude?
Sort of dude. My problem is the opposite of yours at the moment, I belong to too many clubs. I'm a member of the club where I sail Lasers in the winter, the club where I started the Laser fleet last summer, the club in my home town where I sail Sunfish, and I was also employed as an instructor last year at a fourth club. Then I'm a member of 2 class associations and US Sailing.
