So the hallowed St.Mary's Loch Enterprise EVENT has been and gone... sorry for the delay in this post, but I was off chillin' with my family on hols and having a birthday and stuff!
So what happened, not 100% sure.. me and James drove up to Scotland Friday afternoon/evening... waiting for rain that never came... chucked the tent up...drank.. drank..drank... bacon sarnie...drank... skinny-paddled (me and Salty)... drank...drank.... bed (2-ish maybe? ... slept (very well)... breakfast, coffeee, boat rigged, boat set-up checked... chilling....
Sailing.....
God its been too long sorry.. the wind was good the weather wasnt too bad... we got a 7th and a 5th... Johnny was flying well, as was Shane and the Fry-Boyz...
Social.....
Ahh well... C this is st.marys and this is the Ent fleet... it was LARGE... not as good as the original SoulSailor G&T smash-out... but damb good none the less....so we stayed for the "local" food, other went off to Tibby-Shields pub.. we started to demolish the G&T..and beer... and pretty much knacker the ermmm Kayleee (yea i know its spelt wrong!)
No for a firast, for some reason, (first time ever) at seperate time both me and James became depressed on the old "mothers ruin" and had to move back to beer.. bummer...
So it was a good night, drinks drunk...nbut no skinny-anything...chilling, dancing, chatting, telling of deep thoughts...planning of wondrous advebntures and bloody daft projects and all the usual stuff... oh yeh baby...
Sunday cam and if my gorgeous dog were there then the breeze would have certinly blown Dogs off chains.... so after the very slow crawl out of bed (early morning piss in the scottish dew and then a hangover breakfast!) the sailing was temporarily canned while they worked out what the fcuk to do...
So.. send a fleet out at a timer so the other 2 fleets can larf their rollocks off... top idea.. oh yeh and Ents can go 1st incase its too scary !
So we blasted out in the most scary breeze ever imaginable (F7-F8 at the botom of the loch, we stayed near the top half, but still fekin blowy and shiftin like a b'stard!!!
And we had a top race... bl;asted around, kept the BIG blue flappy thing above the white plastic thing and the cold, wet stuff and had a top race... 4th over all.....happy, buzzin, exstatic and basicall in the SoulSailor groove proper...
Prizes....
1st Shane and the
2nd / 3rd - Johnny/Alex & the Fry's... cant remember the order but well done to them both anyway
4th Ant Clay & James Holmes of Soulsailor Racing Association
I am happy... buzzing an'....
So, where to next.... Southport next week (preview soon), Northampton, Draycote.....
