So, Delph then...

So, sorry bought the delay, last week was V mad... so the forecast was for some sunshine but not much, some breeze but not stacks, some yachters but not a mass of them and well, the weekend delivered...

20 damned dedicated yachters headed up tut north to Bolton, well up a hill outside Bolton to Delph sailing club for the North West Area Champs, and the next event in the National Circuit...

Its been a week now, so dont expect this to be a fully detailed race-by-race report, plus I'm half watching Glastonbury on the telly so may get distracted from.... time to time...

There were 5 races, 2 Saturday, 3 Sunday breeze was variable (2 say the least) in both direction and in strength, probably upto a good F4?

The usual suspects were there with the usual mix of good, bad and mixed fortunes...

The there was the social on Saturday night.. tents erected, drinks drunk, barbie lit (in the rain!) and a damned good time was had by all, well into Sunday morning...

Some worrying things are starting to happen at the socials though.. at the masters, Johnny had a handbag, at Delph a certain someone I know well wore a womans "top"... what the hell is happening, why are the blokes finding their feminine side, and when they've found it what are they doing with it??

SoulSailor recruiting went fairly well, membership fees were duly paid and we recruited a new member, welcome in Craig!

So, Sunday, fathers-day, dawned with an amazing number of hangovers, and if I reme,ber through the haze, it was raining...a lot...so, after some of the necessary greasy brekfast-baps and damned strong coffee were consumed we went for an 11am start for the final 3 races...
